Where does the snow go?

Our new topic is   ‘Where does snow go?”

We have been exploring winter colours, using white paint to make our blue paint lighter. Take a look at our winter display.

Following on from our winter theme we read the story of ‘The Snowman’ and created a wonderful collage of pictures from our favourite part of the story

We would like to say a huge thank you, to all the grown-ups for helping your child to create a fantastic snowman picture of themselves. Please feel free to take a look at our art gallery display in our foundation 1 unit.

We have been exploring textures with playdough, using this to help us with our counting to ten.

The children have loved our arctic animal small world and have been engaging in imaginative role play retelling the story of ‘The Little Polar Bear’

In our mathematics area we have been using the arctic animals to help us with our number recognition and trying to match the correct amount of objects to the numbers we recognise.

During circle time our children came up with different ideas of what we could change our role play area in to. After reading the book ‘Polar Bear, Polar Bear what do you hear?’ we all decided on changing the role paly area in to a zoo.
