Year 3 were so interested in our Predator topic that we are now learning about underwater predators. Already, we have found interesting facts about the life cycle of a salmon and have found out where it travels, using our Geography skills.

This half term, children in Class 7 and 8 are learning about Mighty Industry. We will be using Wentworth Village as our focus because of the different types of industry that can be identified in the area: manufacturing, agriculture and retail.

Class 7 and 8 are learning all about predators during this half term. English Children enjoyed making an information booklet all about foxes to share with the ks1 children. Class 7 & 8 are studying a topic called Tribal Tales that is based upon the period of history from the (Early Stone Age) Palaeolithic, Mesolithic (Middle Stone Age) and Neolithic (Late Stone Age), Bronze and Iron Age periods. This covers some 14,000yrs of time up to the start of the Roman invasion of Britain.

This half term our new topic is called ‘Beat Band Boogie!’, which is very music and science based.  We will investigate how sound is made and look at a range of instruments to see how they are played. 

Welcome back to school Year 2!! This half term our topic is Beachcombers and we will be visiting Cleethorpes on Tuesday 13th September.

This half term our topic is ‘Mess, Muck and Mixtures’.  We started the topic with a Messy afternoon, where the children investigated different materials such as shaving foam, sand, talcum powder, jelly and used thesaurus to find interesting adjectives to describe them. 

This half term our topic is ‘Towers, Tunnels and Turrets’, where we will be learning all about Castles, Towers and other landmarks from across the World.

To start off our topic Moon Zoom we discovered an alien had crash landed its flying saucer at Monkwood! Now we have to find the friendly alien Orson and return him to Planet Orb!

This half term we have been so lucky in Year One! On the first day back after Easter we were left lots of different clues which took us to find something super special.
