Year One

We have loved cuddling our new chicks this week!
On Friday we were so lucky to go into the hall with Grimm and co. We got to find the magical story memories and have lots of magical fun!
This week we were super excited to watch our 5 chicks hatch. We got to see them break out of their eggs and loved cuddling them once they fluffed up!
Class 4 braved the wet weather last week with @popsoutdooradventure on their Rio outdoor adventure. The children discovered first hand what it was like to be in a rainforest and collected natural material to create amazing Christ the Redeemer spray art pictures to decorate their classroom! Well done everyone!! #outdoorlearning

Class 4 have had an amazing time at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. We roared with the lions, giggled with the lemurs and jumped with the Wallabies. What a perfectly fabulous day!
Last week was Polar Bear week! We cannot believe that a polar bears fur is actually see-through!  We are doing amazing paintings using the stippling effect, building a polar bears habitat and researching lots of fabulous facts!

In class 5 we have been reading the amazing book Meerkat mail, building habitats and learning lots of amazing facts.

Class 5 have had an amazing time at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. We roared with the lions, giggled with the lemurs and jumped with the Wallabies. What a perfectly fabulous day!

Last week in Year 1 was lion week!  We have been pastelling and collaging lions, learning lots of lion facts and building lions dens! Grrrrrrrrrrrooooaaahhhhhhhh Did you know that a lion’s roar can be heard from up to 5 miles away?
