Solution, Not Pollution

On Thursday 22nd April, World Earth Day 2021, Y3 children at Monkwood Primary School were supporting the event slogan ‘Restore Our Earth’.

As part of their topic ‘Going Green,’ the children took part in a litter pick of the woods behind their school, allowing them to identify first hand the human impact of land pollution in their local area. They were shocked at the amount and types of rubbish found. With recyclable gloves, bin bags, and litter grabbers at the ready, the children enjoyed their chance to make a small change to their local environment and are passionate that we all have our part to play if we are indeed going to ‘Restore Our Earth’.

Take a look at their fabulous work and the amount of rubbish they found!
