Miss Hayes
Meet your teacher
Miss hayes
Hello my name is Miss Hayes and I am so excited to be your teacher this year. I have been at Monkwood for 13 years and I have loved every part of my journey here. I absolutely love being a teacher in the Early
Years, I love being a part of their journey and giving them the most amazing first year of their school life. I have 2 beautiful children at home and my fiancee who I absolutely love spending time with and we love going on adventures and holidays to The Lake District. I love to draw and spend my free time drawing and sketching. I can’t wait for your gorgeous children to be a part of our class family.
MEET YOUR Early Years Practitioners
Mrs Woods
Hello. My name is Mrs Woods and I work in Foundation 1 as an Early Years Practitioner. I have been at Monkwood Primary School for 20+ years now. I have two children of my own who both attended Monkwood and absolutely loved it. I can’t wait to meet you and for you to see our amazing classroom and outside area, I’m sure you will love it. In my spare time I like to be with my family, we like to pop on our walking boots and go for long walks.
Class Information
We will be able to send photos of your adventures over the year through our Class Dojo and your grown up will be able to share your adventures at home too! Our classroom is a wonderful place to be, with so many areas to play and learn in alongside your friends. There are lots of adults to help you and we all love to share stories with you. Everyone at nursery is here to help and watch you grow.
Areas of Learning
In Class 1 we are going to have the best time together exploring, learning and having fun. We have the most beautiful classroom and outdoor areas that are waiting for you to discover and explore. We are so excited to be sharing in your very first experience of school and just know we are going to have lots of fun together. This year
we will learn about numbers and words through stories, songs and rhymes. We know you will make many new friends, playing together in our lovely classroom and outside area. We even have our own woodland space where we will be exploring nature and looking for creatures big and small! Don’t forget your wellies! We can’t wait to spend the next year learning and growing with you.
