Gruffalo Exploration

Year 6 RE Learning

Year 6 have been discussing Jewish funeral ceremonies and looking at how they support Jewish people in their mourning period.

Class 11 Forest School Fun

Last Friday, Class 11 had an amazing time at our forest school session looking at the Anglo Saxons. We made brooches from clay and were spray painted gold to imitate the intricate jewellery that was worn. It was so lovely to get back into our woods and use all the great resources we have!

Propaganda Persuasion with Y6

In History, Year 6 have been learning how the government used propaganda during World War Two to persuade, influence or encourage people. We designed our own propaganda posters to encourage the war effort. 

Y2 Visit Conisbrough Castle

Year 2 had a fabulous time when they went to visit Conisbrough Castle! They dressed up as characters from the castle and climbed up to the top of the keep, where they could see for miles.

Y6 Visit Crucial Crew

Year 6 enjoyed a day at Crucial Crew. They learnt many valuable life skills such as road safety, fire safety and water safety. They took part in a mock trial in a courtroom and learnt about the consequences of breaking the law. 

The Gruffalo Visits FS2

Class 13 Geography

In our Geography lesson last week, the children were learning how to use four and six figure grid references to help locate places on a map. We then used this knowledge to identify, locate and give the six figure grid references for three African countries and their capital cities.

KS2 New Age Kurling
