Y6 General Election Research!

This week, as the General Election is just around the corner, Year 6 have been researching the Labour and Conservative leaders (Rishi Sunack and Keir Starmer). They all took a very sensible approach to the research, and learnt a lot. Well done everyone!

Y2 Great Fire of London Workshop!

Last week, Y2 had a fantastic time at the Great Fire of London workshop! They took part in lots of fun activities such as, performing the story of the Great Fire of London and learning about different artefacts. Well done Year 2!

Class 9 Roman Workshop!

This week, Class 9 took part in a Roman workshop on behalf of the School Library Service! They had so much fun looking at the different Roman artefacts, and learning all about them.  Well done everyone!

Foundation Stage Donation Received!

Foundation Stage have received a fabulous donation of new resources from two amazing local fundraisers, the children now have lots of new toys, games and tools to learn from and play with. They are all so grateful and can’t wait to start using them!

Year 1 Maths Learning!

Y3 Doug Hyde Art Study!

This term, Year 3 have been studying the art style of Doug Hyde, as well as learning different techniques that he uses. Once the children became familiar with his distinctive style, they created their own piece of art, inspired by Hyde. The finished pieces are absolutely fantastic, well done Year 3!

Y1 Phonics Screening Preparation!

In Year 1, everyone has been working really hard to get ready for the Phonics Screening Check. To prepare, they’ve been playing a lot of different games in order to practice spotting the ‘special friend’ sounds. They have also been sounding out and blending sounds to read the words. Well done, awesome work Year 1!

Monkwood Mobile Farm Visit!

Last Friday, we had a lovely visit from Ian’s Mobile Farm, he came in to show us all his beautiful farm animals! We stroked some of the animals and we learnt so many new facts about them. It was such a brilliant day. We are very lucky!
