History update from Y6
In History, Year 6 have looked at a variety of sources about why people from the Caribbean migrated to Britain as part of the Windrush generation. We worked together to sort them into which were push factors and which were pull factors.
Year 3’s Roman Workshop
Year 3 have really enjoyed the Roman workshop delivered to them by Laura from the Schools Library Service. They were very interested in the Roman artefacts and couldn’t wait to get dressed up as a Roman soldier.
Y6 History Learning
In history, Year 6 have been looking at how Britain has been shaped by people migrating here over time. We are now going to be focusing on the Windrush generation: why they migrated to Britain, what their experiences were and why the Windrush scandal happened.
