Class 13 Learning Update!

Class 13 have had a busy Spring 1 Term! You can see what we have been learning about below.

In Music, the children have been continuing their work around drumming. The class has been chair drumming and practicing different drum rudiments including single-stroke, double stroke and paradiddle.

At the end of term, the children from Class 13 sharpened their first aid skills. They learned how to respond to a person who could be choking and also how to use an EpiPen if somebody requires one to help them.

We also visited Kelham Island Industrial Museum to learn more about the changes and developments that happened during this period of history.

We learned lots about how Sheffield and Rotherham changed and grew as a result of industrial development.

All the children were sensible, followed adult instructions to keep themselves and others safe. They were fantastic ambassadors for the school and were highly praised by the staff from Kelham Island Museum.

During part of the school’s World Book Day, Class 13 spent time reading to and sharing books with children from Mrs Croft and Miss Smith’s Y1 class.

As you can see from the pictures, the children were fantastic when reading to some of the youngest children in school. They were excellent role models and the way they interacted with the children was just simply amazing to see and hear.
