Recently, Y5 have been exploring the work of LS Lowry and learning about his unique art style, known for its distinctive urban scenes and ‘matchstick’ figures. The children studied some of his famous pieces and discussed his use of colour, perspective, and composition.
They then had the chance to create their own watercolour artworks inspired by Lowry, experimenting with techniques to capture movement and atmosphere in their scenes. The results were fantastic – well done, Y5!
