What a fantastic first week in Year 1! The children settled in brilliantly and have loved exploring their new classroom. In our reading area, the children have been introduced to our reading buddies – soft woodland teddies who love stories! They have enjoyed choosing a buddy to read with, sharing books and telling stories together.
In Maths, they have been learning all about sorting and exploring how objects can be grouped by their size, colour, type and other properties. The children worked brilliantly as a team, sharing their ideas and explaining their choices. We are so proud of everyone. Well done, Y1!
