Recently, Class 8 became archaeologists! They were lucky enough to hear from a real archaeologist, who helped them learn more about what archaeologists do and how they uncover clues about the past. The pupils then investigated a range of different objects, discussing which materials would decay over time and which might survive long enough to be discovered by archaeologists in the future.
To finish, they buried their own selection of items and created their very own archaeological dig. Later in the year, they will return to their excavation to see what has survived and discover what clues they can uncover. Well done, everyone!
