Geography Top Trumps in Y5

In Geography this week, Class 12 had a brilliant time creating their own Top Trumps cards to compare the three main African biomes – desert, rainforest, and savannah.

The children researched key facts about each biome, including temperature ranges, rainfall patterns, and the fascinating plants and animals that call each biome home. They thought carefully about how to score each category, deciding which biome might be the “winner” for things like rainfall or biodiversity.

Once their cards were complete, the class had the chance to play their very own game of Biome Top Trumps, putting their knowledge to the test in a fun and competitive way. Class 12 showed fantastic curiosity and enthusiasm throughout the lesson, well done!
