In Geography this week, Class 12 have been continuing their exploration of the African continent. The pupils focused on locating specific countries, including Morocco, Nigeria, and Tanzania, as well as identifying their capital cities. This allowed them to understand more about the geography, diversity, and relative positions of different nations across Africa.
To build their map skills, the class practiced using four-figure grid references to accurately pinpoint locations on a map. This hands-on approach helped students develop their spatial awareness, attention to detail, and confidence in reading and interpreting maps.
The children worked carefully and collaboratively, discussing strategies and supporting one another as they located each country and city. It was a fantastic way to combine knowledge of African geography with practical map-reading skills, reinforcing both their understanding of the continent and their wider geographical skills.
Well done, Class 12!
