This week, Year 2 have been exploring an exciting introduction to their new story, ‘The Tunnel’. The pupils created their own tunnel in the classroom and took turns crawling through it, describing their experience using words such as ‘dark’ and ‘scary’. They then listened to their new model text and created a large tunnel drawing, filling it with adjectives to describe what they might see, hear and feel.
The children now have a fantastic collection of descriptive vocabulary to use in their own writing. What a creative way to bring their new story to life!
