Class 3 Autumn Learning

Exploring Our Solar System

In Science, Year 2 have been learning about the solar system! 🌌🛰☄ We reenacted the solar system in our classroom, with the sun in the centre and the planets orbiting around it. 

Year 2 Artist Focus

This half term, Year 2 have been learning about the artist Linda Lang. We looked carefully at the cold colours and shapes used in her artwork. We then created our own colours ladders adding white to colours to make tints. 

African Artist Focus

Class 2 have been looking at the famous artist Alma Thomas an African American female artist. She was an important role model for women, African Americans and older artists. She focussed on large circular images with a high focus on colour and using colour to express emotions.
