Last week, Y6 took part in their second session with the Rotherham Alcohol and Drugs Services, they learnt previously that medicines are drugs, and why it is important that they are used safely. During their second session, Y6 explored legal substances such as caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol, along with their legal age restrictions. The children discussed the risks associated with each drug, and experienced firsthand how alcohol affects vision and perception by wearing ‘beer goggles.’
Everyone showed great maturity, and asked some fantastic questions. Keep being incredible, Y6!
