History and Geography in Y5

Class 12 have made a fantastic start to their Geography and History learning this term. In Geography, they began by exploring Africa – locating it on the world map, identifying the surrounding oceans, and pinpointing some of its countries. Their mapwork skills have really impressed us!

Building on this, in History the children turned their attention to the Kingdom of Benin, discovering where it fits into the wider story of history. They explored a timeline and compared what was happening in Benin with events in Britain and across the world at the same time. The children worked incredibly hard, and we’re excited to see where their learning takes them next.

Well done, Class 12!
