Compass Skills in Y5!

Class 12 have been busy developing their geography and map-reading skills, focusing on how to use the eight points of the compass to describe directions across the continent of Africa. They’ve been locating different countries, landmarks, and physical features, then practising how to describe their positions accurately using terms such as north-east, south-west, and due south.

The children showed fantastic teamwork as they worked together to navigate maps and solve direction challenges, applying their knowledge in fun, practical ways. Their growing understanding of geographical language has been so impressive, and it’s been wonderful to see their confidence soar as they begin to see the world through a geographer’s eyes.

Well done, Class 12!
